Oyster River Recent Measurements
The Oyster River sonde is located in the center channel of the tidal portion of the Oyster River, approximately 500m downstream of the head of tide dam adjacent to Jackson's Landing in Durham, New Hampshire. The telemetry system is a shore mounted Sutron GOES Satellite transmitter.
Many factors influence the environmental conditions of the Oyster River including urban stormwater, mooring field and crew dock, a downstream wastewater treatment plant outfall, upstream agriculture and residential on-site sewage disposal.
